she had a good hook 'n' line, and
I fell for it, shelling out for 3 issues
of a lame "Christian Comic".

THE GIG FROM HELL!
Everything that could go wrong,
went wrong. First, the Hotel San
Diego lied about having air conditioning
, so the joint was 100 degrees, then
the P.A. we rented blew up during
sound check. Most of the people
there were totally miserable because
of the heat and weren't into the music
at all. No one danced, and I don't blame
'em. The one shining moment was when
Buddy Blue placed 5 shots of bourbon
on the floor in appreciation cuz' we
played our asses off and got down and
dirty. I have never sweated so much in
my life, and as you can see from JR and
Wayno's shirts, neither had they. Poor
JR blew out his vocal cords because
we had to use my bass amp for a P.A.
Even so, we had ourselves a TIME!

THE COMIC CON NIGHTLIFE
The Hotel San Diego had cheap
rooms, thin walls, drunks, creeps,
bedbugs, and a "no hassle" policy
towards anyone who wanted to
entertain in their rooms. This
was the perfect atmosphere for
after-hours Comic Con parties.
Dennis Worden and

the faux gold leaf mirrors that
adorned every hallway.

we co-edited the last issue of TIT'S 'n' CLITS,
(which was started by Joyce and Lyn Chivley
in 1972.)

Hard to believe, but here we all are, taking a
"Smoking Break", INDOORS, at the old Con-
vention Center, despite the new no-smoking
rules that were posted everywhere. The Pizz,
Fleener, (not me! I quit in 1984), Carol Lay and
Mystery-Man.
